    Default Vadar's real identity...

...is now plain for everyone to see. (edit: now if only I could spell his name correctly, lol! oh the horror...)

    Large detailed helmet picture here:

Apparently licensed by your friend and mine, George (Lucas, not Bush) and therefore must be the true origin of Anakin's crunchy shell.

For those whose Japanese is a little rusty, don't worry, the text is mostly description of what you can see looking at the picture. Handmade by reservation, and sold only in Japan, so don't expect it to show up at your local toy shop.

I'm unsure as what to think of this.

Well, you have to admit, it does look spiffy.

I just had a vision of samurai-era star wars...

    And it's Vader, not Vadar.

Lucas did admit that a lot of Star Wars is inspired by Kurosawa

Whats wierd is how it doesn't actually look that as strange as would be expected.

The first three, perhaps... the latest three seem to have been inspired by preschoolers.

I go away for a few days and look what happens!

And Alexander, yes, I had the sudden horrible realisation I'd spelt it wrong as soon as I hit the submit button. It's a feeling almost akin to the feeling of jumping off a high building only to realise you forgot the parachute. Which of course I have a lot of experience with as well.
