    Default Cut Scenes

    How do I disable in-battle cut scenes?

    In RTW there was an option for this, but I can't find one in MTW2....?

    \Medieval II Total War\medieval2.preference.cfg

    Change this line...
    Code:
    event_cutscenes = 1
    to...
    Code:
    event_cutscenes = 0

    My medieval2.preference.cfg file is very small and doesn't contain "event_cutscenes".

    I added "event_cutscenes = 0" but cut scenes still appear.

    Have you actually loaded a battle?

    Go into graphics options, hit save.

    Start a campaign, save and exit.

    It should be much bigger now...

    Thanks for the replies guys.

    Turns out my installation isn't referencing the file in
    C:\program files\sega\medieval II.....
    And yes that's where the executable is running from.

    Instead it's referencing a secret copy in
    C:\users\local\appdata\kevin\virtualstore\program files\data\sega\medieval II...

    Gotta love windows vista.

    It's a guess, but I wouldn't be surprised if running m2tw with admin rights would stop that annoying behaviour...
