Is there a topic with this news? Are you developing a 0.82 version? Will there ever be a major 1.0 version?

EB is constantly being improved upon, but whether the next version is 0.82, 0.9 or even 1.0 depends on a number of factors. Check out the stickied EB Development art threat and EB Easter Preview thread for sneak peeks on things to come.

Though whatever happens there certainly will be a 1.0 at some point!

to answer the original poster, YES, there will definately be an EB 1.0 on the RTW engine. And it will be full of exciting goodies and more immersion than you can shake a stick at. EB developers are always busy in the internal forums with new ideas and projects for their own factions and for the mod as a whole.

As to the numbering, it's safe to say that the .8x series is complete, and we have moved on to the next major upgrade.

And don't worry, it won't just be new units. There are a ton of system changes too. Someone was going to interview us and we were going to talk about some of the new stuff, but they decided not to. Oh well. I think we had an interview by someone in late 2005, so not much has changed since then.

Are there enough numbers between 0.81 and 1.0 for all the new ideas to be built, installed into the mod and tested? Or will development continue after 1.0 and the mod is declared officially 'complete'?

well, I dont want to reveal too much, (the bosses would flog me), but I can fairly say alot of these ideas will be put into EB II but be in some form in EB I as well. Internal testing is ongoing, of course.

We aren't sure what the numbering for the next build will be, but I feel pretty sure that we aren't talking about 1.0 being the very very last final build that we release. 1.0 may be the next release, or it may be a release 9 months from now, who knows. We don't right now, but why worry much about that - we're busy trying to test out a few big new things and working on new content.

Hey lol cut these guys a break i just downloaded .81a The.74 just never worked for me. besides looking for naughty pictures of females and playing some video games i have no idea how they do all this mod stuff. Lol at least there is an EB (remember when you thought RTW Vanilla was the greatest, i know i do) still i wanna see the new EB too
