Thread: Constant CTDs

    Default Constant CTDs

While playing EB, I constantly get CTDs at points where the game is loading. Because of this, one of my games has been made completely worthless since everytime I click the end turn button and it is Roma's turn, it crashes. On another game, I fear it's going the same way since I can't enslave populations without the game crashing.

Any suggestions as to why this happening, and how to fix it?

Have you tried the "Improved CTD fix"?

For the enslave thing, that just happens sometimes. It happened in vanilla (though far less likely) and I don't know if anyone has gotten it down. I will however occur if you have just killed the last family member in a faction and they still hold settlements (one of which being a hole in the CTD fix).

With such sparse information, it could be anything really, but a rebellion CTD sounds most likely. The suggested fixes are pretty much contained in the following questions we need you to answer first.

Are you playing 0.81a, or another version (0.81a is by FAR the most stable one)? Have you applied all the permanent fixes in the sticky? Have you tried the temporary ones, well, temporarily? Have you deleted map.rwm?

If your answers are respectively "0.81a", "yes", "yes" and "yes": Please post your savegame so someone can have a look at why it would crash. If not, do stuff to make your answers be like them .

Sorry you guys have to say the exact same thing in the second post *every* *stinking* *thread*. Maybe we should sticky an announcement saying all new threads must include what build they are playing and if they have any of the fixes from the sticky, or it will get deleted or something.

Have done all of that. It doesn't crash as frequently, but now my Getai game is impossible to play because everytime I end my turn, it crashes around the Koinon Helenen.
