There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford
My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.
I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.
I'm going to end up spending around $2,000 for everything. It just depends on the rail pass you get (mine was $390), your flight whether you need train reservations, where you choose to stay, and how much stuff you buy.Originally Posted by Strike For The South
I think $6,000 will be enough money.
Seriously Hostels are the way to go. Cheap, at about 15 USD per night. I travelled around Europe for about 2 months a couple of years back, and I probably spent less than a 1000$ USD in total staying at places. Although, I did find out an ace-in-the hole when I went through the UK, if you go to any of the Bed and Breakfasts in England say that you were very pleased with the Bed and Breakfast you went too in Scotland, and loved everything about it. The Hosts barely charged me for the night, and I got two excellent meals out of it. If your in Scotland just say vice-versa. Of course, I did feel guilty about exploiting a Countries Patriotism... The Same Could work if you went to Belgium I think. But I only really stopped through, and didn't see much of the sights...![]()
Hmmm torrow I said....
Well anyway Brussels, Amsterdam and Paris, I guess you already got enough info about them. One thing tough, I'd really go and visit the house of Anne Frank. About Münich and Bern I don't have so much to say.
But ofcourse we don't always need to be that serious so you might want to check out one of the beer threads in case you might want to have a taste of a few beers. You don't have to be 21 like in America (silly Americans) so you being 19 would be able to drink anything you like. Tough if I were you I'd keep away from the mushroom tea in the Netherlands.
Anyway whatever you do take your time to get lost in the cities and to enjoy yourselves. Rather not see or visit a few things and have more fun than see a few more things and have less fun.
Ofcourse you need to tell us all about your trip when you're back!
You've actually got my attention. Could you further elaborate on this tea? :)Originally Posted by Moros

Really don't, I've yet to hear about a person who did enjoy it. In the contrary.

Also whatever they may say about effects like laughing and stuff. Most things I've heard where people who were crying and crying for hours and others were scared to death. I'm someone who has nothing against a bit of weed or something but paddo's that's heavy stuff.

It can be fun, but it leaves your mind in a very fragile state. You can't know what kind of person you are, you wouldn't be the first that thinks he/she can fly. Mushrooms should be banned, it's nothing like canabis.Originally Posted by Moros
It can be fun, but you have to be in a happy mood,... Also you shouldn't start with heaviest, start with mexicans.Originally Posted by Fragony
