Question OOOPS, Rove misplaces 4 years of emails

Actually, the RNC has taken responsability for misplacingthem - according to the GOP. It is my understanding that RNC (or DNC) emails are supposed to be used purely for fund raising and inter-political planning, not for policy debate.

Nixon's secretary deleted 18 minutes of an important tape - Rove lost 4 years of emails that were suppse to be archived.

Oooops, nothing to see here - just 4 years of boring emails that have absolutely no political interest.

Twenty three views and no reaction. Looks like it's going to be you and me in this thread. Oh well, I've had worse company..

I guess the Kafir will be interested in this upcoming Bill Moyers documentary on PBS called 'Buying the War'.

Now for something completely off-topic. I have been wondering what you, as a member of a military family going back generations, think about the following: was the Second World War the last 'good war' for America, as is often said? In the sense that it was a war for a purely good cause, one that brought the country forward instead of destroying its moral fibre?

There's really not much to say, is there? It's pathetic, and frankly, I now think it's the White House openly declaring they have nothing but disgust for the American people. Regardless of how they feel about Congress, they could come up with something better than the equivalent of "The Dog ate my homework". But what can we say?

Indeed. I think the lack of comments has more to do with the fact that none of us are really that surprised. As Don already pointed out, what more can we really add? It's disgusting, but it's not like Congress or the FBI is going to initiate a formal investigation into these "lost" emails.

Thx, for the heads up on Bill Moyers - at times it seems he is the last investigative reporter in america.

As to your war question, Korea was a necessity as is Afghanistan. Unfortunately in Korea we were led by an ego-maniac (macArthur) that went against his own military philosophy that we could not win a war in Asia. When one ignores his old council and creates one to fit their new ego, we lose. He pushed to far, and forced the Chineeses to attack. My Dad got recalled for Korea, but only as a training officer (nco)

Afghanistan maybe a just conflict, but it is not being conducted in a manner for the allies to win the hearts and minds of the populace. Without the suppression of the warlords, irradication of the Taliban (and alQuaeda), and the building of an infrastructure (on all levels) - we lose again.
