Default to pray or not to pray

that is the question and the answer would be "it depends on what you call yourself"

Yikes. Holier than thou-ness everywhere one looks.

"I and [fellow board member] Shlomi [Hayun] won't be there," he insisted, since "we won't lend a hand to the exclusion of a grieving father, whether he's a Reform rabbi or an Orthodox rabbi or a sewer cleaner. No one asked to be in this family."
sounds right to me. But what do I know... I'm just a fallen-away catholic fundamentalist secularist buddhist - or something.

So from the article we have one side being hateful concerning a certain statement about the raise of nazism being the fault of reform jews. And a reform jew being told he can't say a prayer as a rabbi, most likely because of this same hateful group.

So other then the obvious attempt at trolling that your initial statement is - what issue are you trying to bring forth other then the ballant obvious that some bigots still exist in the world.
O well, seems like 'some' people decide to ruin a perfectly valid threat. Nice going guys... doc bean

It's sad, and unfortunate that fundamentalism of any stripe so often tends to counteract human decency, respect, and compassion.

Perhaps, a prayer for understanding is in order?

the main issue is the increasing fractures growing in Israel (and Judaism if you want to take recent events in Germany or NY as other examples), though the story itself gives wide scope to cover many issues...hence the obviously annoying and inflammatory statement of.....Any thoughts?

Tsk tsk - that wasn't the comment that was the trolling statement. Try again.
