I know you've already heard this before also, but, if you are really truly desperate for a modeller, why don't you do it yourself? You can get 3dsmax cheaper as a student.

I'll tell you a true story. It might help.

There was once a one-man mod team with no prior experience that set out to create a full conversion original fantasy mod.

Sure it took some time, and he had to learn most of the modding along the way. He even had to do most of the work himself, but he was determined, and oh, how determined he was.

He garnered enough respect and support to eventually get a major contribution of units from Shogo, units from the abandoned mod The Crescent and the Cross.

In fact, he garnered so much respect and support that he got his expert coder in the form of Makanye.

This is the story of the mod End of Days, started alone by Satanea Juda.

Impressed? Definitely. Inspired? I know I am. I've even joined a mod team for some experience, just in case I get hit with an inspired mod idea.
before you ask a RTW modding question make sure you have done these things:

    1. At least read these two stickies in the Modding Questions forum: Introduction and Welcome
    2. used the search function (upper right corner of your screen) to know if your Q has been asked before.
    3. browsed the Modding Answers subforum, and the Scriptorium.

I would urge all those new to modding or involved in new mods to please read the articles written by experienced modders on various aspects of the same.

It is clear from many of the new would-be mods arising that these articles have been ignored.

and the fact is, you are not in desperate need of a modeler. Make a list of all that needs done, what is done, and how much you need for at least beta release. This will help you measure how much needs to be done. Units may seem the most important thing to a mod, but what good are they if you don't have a map or any coding done?

Concentrate on getting the coding done. When you are done that, and you still do not have a modeler, I would suggest priming the EDU, DMB, EU and whatever other files you need, so that you can quickly insert the units locations in DMB when they are done. Bada Boom, bada bing, you are done.

    Well said, Roman Man 3!

I'd suggest re-using Vanilla models if you're desperate. Or then do simple swapping operations.

    Hi
thanks for all your sugestions, at the moment we have Leonidas the Lion doing some models but there are quite a few models so we are still in need of moddlers .

Anyway we have the Symbols all done ( i am now adding them all to the game ) I think the campaing map is coming along nicely and yer that is preety much it . about the coding is there a tutorial about that for i am not to good at that .

It is clear from many of the new would-be mods arising that these articles have been ignored.
also about this , i have pretty much read most of the articles . also making this mod was not an over night idea i made, i thought about it and discused it with my bro for almost a week untill i started making it.

anyway i am going to keep at this mod even if it takes ten years to make so wish me luck

P.S Any help would be very nice for we are progressing quite fast ( apart from the models ) and need more team members to keep things on track .

I didn't know a thing a few days ago about modding but now only 1 or 2 days later I have learnt all of the files I have edited icons, splash screens, music, un-packed files, edited setllement ownership and changed most of the game. Of course I am not expert and need alot of help but I have managed learning myself and if you are willing and motivated you can learn everything so
"What are you good at then?" is a bit odd as you may not know.

    Ok
I know Skinning, Text Editing, how to add stuff to the game ( like faction symbols and things like that ) Some mapping, the basic scripting, and hopefully soon the basic moddling. I started moding almost a year and half ago so i am not new to it all and know the basic of almost everything. alll though most of my mods were for my self this will be my first public mod

Quick update for my mod : it is going very well , we are progressing quite fast and hopefully should have a beta out at the end of the year or maybe the start of the new year

I learnt almost all modding aspects to work on Arthurian: TW... This even makes me recently starting to learn how to model. When you know you want something, even if it is hard to get, you can have it. And there is very good modeling tutorials out there - Im especially thinking of Prof420's video tutorials that saved me a lot of time. And the exemple is actually an elven warrior
