How to make longer lance cavalry...?

Hi to all..

I am totaly new for modding issue. I wanted to make cavalries that have longer lances like pikes. I think the look cool like medieval knight..

I just learned how to mount and dismount units, I tought if a make a mounted pikeman I will have a long lance cavalry...

I did it.. and the result is....



Can any one help me for this problem..?

please share any info or advise..

I think the problem is in the skin

What is in the EDU entry for the unit? eg. does it have long_pike or short_pike in the attributes? If it had that originally then skin might not have been made to show the spear as those settings give an automatic default spear. They probably don't work for cavalry though (or at least would give very strange effect) so if you still have those settings try without..

RTW replaces phalanx capable units' primary weapon with the default pike, so to make cavalry with longer lances, you would have to edit the primary weapon (spear) of the model in the .cas file, and map the UVW's to get the correct texture you want on the spear.
