Default Well, I have to do it...

It's the first time I'm doing such a thing.

May I ask someone (a mod) to remove one of my warning points, or give me back my Edit button? I need it really much!

    Thanks.

I think it's a nasty little punishment the moderators like to inflict when you do something incorrect. I am sorry to say that I doubt that it's restrictions will be removed on request, although you can try and hope for the best.

The whole idea of being given warning points is to encourage you to think about what you post.

Think before you post and you'll have no need of an edit button.

    Edyz,

You got both points from me. One for swearing, one for spam. At 6000+ posts, you're well aware of Org. rules regarding both of those infractions.

If the Admins see fit to make changes to your account, I will gladly comply. As far as Mods go, you may appeal the Frontroom WP to BKS, his decision will be final. The one you received in the Hardware forum stays. You got busted fair and square (on both).

All warnings are subject to appeal, but that is best done by PM, not in public. You never PMed me to discuss removing the WPs on your account, which, had you done so, I would have considered.

There are some things which you learn even at 6000 posts.

    Thank you Beirut.
I will comply to the warnings.

That's impossible. You can't edit your posts so how could you accidentally delete something?

Well, I talked to Tosa and told him that "Thanks for giving my edit button back. It was very needed in the EB forum.". And he said "Thank you for reminding to fix the bug." And I didn't get it at that time.

Then when I did some work, and pushed the "Save" button, I lost the work. Tosa fixed a bug and removed my edit button. (no offence to Tosa, I just like to whine sometimes)

Since this thread is for refuting warnings, I have one that hs been simmering under my skin for a while, but have been to busy to bother coming here and refuting it.

You know of what I speak. A thread in which I thouroughly proved (didn't slander, but completely proved everything I said with facts) that certain things that I said about a certain religion (The XXX one) were true. I didn't spam (but got a warning for spamming...I'd like to know how that works. As a matter of fact, please tell me exactly how what I said was spam.), I didn't flame, everthing I said was true. What did I do to get my backroom acess removed and get a warning? I know!! I said something that isn't popular or politically correct!! (you know, like saying that blacks should have rights would have been 50 years ago)

I would like my backroom access restored and my warning removed. And please don't just lock this thread or remove my access from the WatchTower because you don't wan't to deal with this. You abused you power and this is a good time to get down to the bottom of it.

    Vuk

P.S. I use XXX as a triple variable for The (X) Religion (X) Islam (X)

Vuk, if you would like to publicly discuss your warnings that you received in the Backroom, please use the appropriate place (the Backroom section of the Watchtower) instead of (ab)using other threads for it.

Also, a good basis for such a discussion would be to stick to the facts, e.g., I do not quite recall that the warning you are mentioning had anything to do with "spam".

    Thanks

The reason given for the warning WAS spam! Look for yourself.
Very well, I will start a thread in the backroom (of the watchtower).

Ahem... Sorry to jump in here, but what's in the backroom? I can't see anything there? Do members need a special permission to get there? If so, is there someone in particular that should be PMed?

The Tavern Backroom or the Watchtower Backroom? The former is the Org's forum for political debate (as opposed to the Frontroom, which is for more light-hearted subjects), the latter deals with moderation issues in the former. To obtain access to the Tavern Backroom, go to your user CP => group memberships and select to join the Backroom group. You'll have to wait until the backroom moderators approve, but that's usually just a formality.

I am not a frequent visitor of the Backroom, but occasionally there are some very good discussions going on. It's somewhat rowdier than the rest of the board, though, but if you like political discussion, you should have a look. There are no obligations to backroom membership, and you can cancel it at any time you like.

I was speaking of the backroom which, from time to time bring angry posts in other places, so that should be the tavern one... I just went to see what was in the Watchtower backroom. Interesting....

Thanks very much for your answer!
