Dont think it was due to my incompetence either.... they used the few tree's and ambushed me, plus they mainly stayed in the few tree's, which sort of deminished my cavalry's... power.

I started a new campaign though, because ive made some tweaks to my game and I had expanded to the south side of the Alps but the Germans bordered me on all sides so i started to get pounded by endless stacks and realized i had actually expanded my empire... (get ready for this guys...)
