Creating Multiplayer Maps

Hello all I have very limited experience with modding MTW 2, but I am very much interested in at least trying to make some equal sided, custom maps to play with on multiplayer other than the plain old grassy flats. I have read through the modding tutorials and such and have done a few searches but I have yet to find what I am looking for.

So if anyone could instruct me on how to create maps (I am not sure if there is a battle editor like in RTW) to use on multiplayer or point me in the direction of what I need to do. Also how would one go about changing the name of some of the default maps? I went into the Data/World/Maps folder and tried to change the name of Grassy flats but it said that it couldnt be done, is there any way that would allow me to do that. I am sorry if these are stupid questions, but my modding knowledge is very limited.

You can add this to your config:

[features]
editor = 1

The editor will appear in the options menu then.

As for renaming: you need to open the file properties and uncheck read-only.
The easiest way is to change the txt file in the folder though

Haha yeah I love that smiley myself, so I got it under contract
