Victory conditions and continuing the campaign?

I was just wondering:
If I met the victory conditions (conquer x lands for example),
can I continue playing or does the campaign stop?

You can continue going. You just won't have any more Victory Conditions left and although I own half the world in my current campaign, I don't know what to do to "finish" the game after you say yes to continuing.

You have to conquer the whole world after that. It gets dull pretty quickly. I think the victory conditions are quite well worked out.
