Here's a quick lesson then.
Hit the ~ key when playing your campaign, now a semi transparent rectangle will appear with some text: "Welcome to the Rome Shell".
Click the box, you'll now find that a standard text editing cursor (as you type) appears. Enter:
toggle_fow
Ok, now move towards the spot on the map of which you want the x,y coordinates. (Usual moving around the world stuff. No need to explain that further. ) Do not close the Rome Shell in the meantime, the text cursor must remain there...
Make sure that your mouse is located on that specific spot (Not the corresponding one on the mini map, but the one on the actual world with all the graphics bells and whistles.) Now, press enter, and type
show_cursorstat
Then you'll see the following data:
what region you're in, the number of the region, the x value and the y value of your cursor on the map.
