    Here's a quick lesson then.
Hit the ~ key when playing your campaign, now a semi transparent rectangle will appear with some text: "Welcome to the Rome Shell".
Click the box, you'll now find that a standard text editing cursor (as you type) appears. Enter:
    toggle_fow
Ok, now move towards the spot on the map of which you want the x,y coordinates. (Usual moving around the world stuff. No need to explain that further. ) Do not close the Rome Shell in the meantime, the text cursor must remain there...
Make sure that your mouse is located on that specific spot (Not the corresponding one on the mini map, but the one on the actual world with all the graphics bells and whistles.) Now, press enter, and type
    show_cursorstat
Then you'll see the following data:
what region you're in, the number of the region, the x value and the y value of your cursor on the map.

Oh and I forgot to mention: what units did both armies consist of?

With bridge battles always bogging down even in vanilla, is this not likely just a type of overloading the system, even if it is a good one, CTD?

The only other option I can think of is a crash because some systems don't seem to like the oasis, which works on most. But that ctd occurs while the battle is loading, not while it is in progress.

I don't know guys i'm pawned over here i reduced all grafics and still nothing ..... Damn it to the burning pits of cyberhell.... One question what is desychronize animations in the video options ?

"Alexander came by the statue of his father and spoke loud: `Youths of the Pellaians and of the Macedonians and of the Hellenic Amphictiony and of the Lakedaimonians and of the Corinthians... and of all the Hellenic peoples, join your fellow-soldiers and entrust yourselves to me, so that we can move against the barbarians and liberate ourselves from the Persian bondage, for AS Hellenes WE should not be slaves to barbarians."

I believe that means striking and falling may not necessarily be correctly synchronized, so a guy could fall before or after he seems to be struck according to the animation. I do not think this setting really affects performance very much...

The only suggestion I have is experimenting with various graphics driver versions, as your rig should really be more than able to haul a bridge battle. Or reinstalling RTW and EB, but I don't think that will help.

So what's better in "eye candy" or "more realistic" terms synchronized or desynchronized animations?

Synchronized would be best: a man falls when struck. Unsynchronized is worse: a man falls when struck, or slightly before or after the fact.
