    Who ever decided to build a city here should be fired:




    That was the landscape during a battle facing west by Nikia (sp? - the city across from Byzantium)

    Well it was called the city of the blind (because they missed the opportunity to site it over the other side where Byzantion later was founded).

    That was actually a temporary city. When planning Atlantis, they decided to build a city on a lake to see if it would work. It did, as we can see.
