i believe, and this is very qualified 'believe', that you can build a direct ip interface, with chat room, on any game that does direct play. i have a friend who did this with railroad tycoon II. he contacted the game devs and got the access addresses and built his own. folks could then just log into his machine and play direct ip. maybe we could get something like this going for M:TW as well.
