I hope he also mentioned some rebalancing of unit stats since the fixed shield bug makes dismounted feudal knights and similar units superior to any twohanded unit I tried, the animations are fixed, but the stats of twohanders need some tweaking. Did some myself, mainly raised the attack stats into the twenties region and that helps a lot.
There will be no rebalancing in 1.2 simply because of the fact the game needs an extensive rebalance, and that would take months to test. We will likely see rebalancing in 1.3/Kingdoms though.
