Ah, I gave you a wrong link, sorry. I meant this thread. I just don't really understand how "The Cardinal Rules of War" differs from "The Sage Advices of War"...

the difference between this thread and that other PRETENDER strategy thread is that we must always follow this thread to the letter. :D

    14. Armor Piercing enemy infantry are dangerous! As such, only meet them with your highest armored troops, to negate the enemy's advantage!

    15. When being hit by superior artillery and archer fire, your army must stay as still as they can. Do not advance forward! This is called the "playing dead" trick. Don't worry about the heavy casualties this will cause, it is only an illusion to fool your enemies!
before you ask a RTW modding question make sure you have done these things:

    1. At least read these two stickies in the Modding Questions forum: Introduction and Welcome
    2. used the search function (upper right corner of your screen) to know if your Q has been asked before.
    3. browsed the Modding Answers subforum, and the Scriptorium.

    16. When the foul enemy starts shooting at you with onagers, set all your legions to the testudo formation, and huddle them close together (exactly like in Kuni's brilliant point 16, the play dead defence.) Remember, two shields are better than one! This also works against cavalry!

    17. The enemy always attack your hoplite's rear, so have them face the enemy with their backs!

    18. infintry like the moral boost of arrows hitting the enemy while fighting them, so only turn fire-at-will on after your infintry is engaged with the enemy. friendly fire improves moral.

    19. Never ever attack cavalry with your chariots. That is very dangerous. Rather put your chariots to good use by using them to get rid of the enemy phalanx formations.

always solve the war using peacetalk, never try to resist when enemy siege your city,it is better you let your city fall into enemy hand to prove you have no will to fight.....
