you don't need a legit copy any more, if that is what you mean, as we tend to play via hamachii now, using the lan capability.

Minute after i succefully join someone in the lan lobby, i loose connection with that person

tried it with pharnakes...

Would anyone, by any chance, have any idea why? Windows Firewall was deactivated, and router had the port configured (for hamachi).

The game CTDd during two battles I tried to have with Fondor today. I've played Demulon successfully several times before (using Gamespy), perhaps Hamachi is unstable for RTW?

That's probably it. I've got a separate EB installation for multiplayer. Everyone's data must be the same to play, so it's necessary...

Then again, since yesterday my single-player EB has become unstable too, and it also happened in another game today. I think my new RAM is faulty, or my computer has caught a disease...

Edit: Argh... Memtest finds loads and loads of errors.

The reason why EB is faster in MP is because you don't load te script I think... Also, it's funny even when you loose.

OK fellas I got tired of my EASY A** Aedui campain, having a non challenging AI, limited time to play, not being able to play MP (old version of EB), and a save that didn't go through just did it for me.

anywho.... today at 5:45am I downloaded the Final version of EB. And tonight I will update hamchi and try to knock out a Mo'Fo' or two (or not )

I would like to suggest a better method than using hamachi. Much more simple to use battlenet. Once people get in touch with each other they just add each others ip-adresses to the battlenetlist and play. And you dont even have to disconnect your internet.
