Lightbulb FEEDBACK: Arabic & Turkish Voiceovers.

    Greetings All !

There is a mod called Xenophonia which aims to insert local languages into M2:TW. For example the French faction speaks French based on the local French version of the game. To my knowledge there are no Arabic or Turkish voiceovers for The Turks, Moors, and Egyptians for M2:TW.

I have made a test recording of Turkish military commands, as I am considering doing this for these factions. I would like your feedback on this sound file:

    Turkish Military Pronounciation Test.

Is this worth it ? How does it sound ?
I would greatly appreciate any and all feedback.

    Thank you.

As an American with almost no exposure to Turkish, I think it sounded good. You have a strong voice, and when I try to imagine it within the context of the game, I think it does well.

Well the Turkish sounded great but that other voice...

Just kidding. Great idea! It adds some much needed authenticity to the game; very exciting!

Work on the quality a bit and PM some Turkish .org members to make sure they get to hear it. They may even want to contribute.

Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

    Hi Guys

Thanks for the replies. Will reply again with comments soon-ish, but thank you very much for the feedback. Much appreciate it.

I'm posting an Arabic pronounciation TEST. Please note that you can consider this pre-alpha, it is only for a test. It does NOT represent production quality. This may give you an idea of what is achievable. Please keep in mind it's late here so I'm not really aggressive and loud in this test. I may post a redo early next week.

Please let me know what you think. All feedback is most appreciated.
Please correct me if any native Arabic speakers (or anyone else) find errors.

    Thank you.

My apologies if I offended you, Sinan. I obviously had mistaken what it was you were looking for.

LOL.. no ! not at all Martok. I have'nt replied yet because I'm still recording Greek for Byzantines. (trying to at least) I'll post back soon-ish. I'll also reply the PM on the game, asap. I'm sorry for the delay, I've just goten really into this. You have not offended me in the least. I really appreciate the feedback. It helps a lot ! Thank you very much ! Honestly your comments were probably the most constructive to me as it immediately pointed to what I should improve. Actually I just noticed you edited the comments. hey can I have them back ? IIRC I should improve hucum and nishan al should have more Turkish accent. That's totally perfect and do-able. Your comments were great bro. No offence at all ! :D

Darn how I wish I knew someone who was fluent in Greek, right now.

EDIT: Martok what do you think of the Arabic ?

Nice voiceovers, I enjoyed listening to them. That is one minor detail that I noticed is many factions share voiceovers and not all have their own dialect and accent. I.e; all Italian factions share the same voiceover as do the Eastern European factions.

    Tschüß!
