I'll sart the ball rolling with this heroic seleukid taking of a bridge from hoards of rebelious Parthian mad men

Despite Randarkmaan's best efforts otherwise.

a humble note from an RTR MP vet if i may. just make sure you let your counterparts know of your intentions to make battles resaults public before postin' an AAR, just so nobody's feelings are hurt...
we used to have a commentator who was present at the battle as a third side. and would post an interesting chronicles supported by battle's pics. was such a pleasure and a teaser to read

I didn't use the right kind of army or the right kind of moves to beat his phalanxes, but I bear no grudge, it's the first time I played EB online and I would like to try again... and by the way, not all those corpses are Parthians, some are seleucids actually.

Yes true enough, cataphracts can be messy when they charge into a diorganised mass of depleted and exhausetd phalagnites...

And all of the corpses on the bridge are mine.(then he ran out of arrows) thank Ares for incompetent logistics

A few thoughts about the battle: Strangely, my chariots absolutley butchered his cataphracts, (even his generals gripanvar), but got hoplessley cut to peices by his heavy infantry, even though they were charging into the back of them. I thought that in E.B. chariots were suposed to be very disadvantaged against cavalry and a their best when fighting densely packed heavy infantry armed with swords. Ironicaly, I could probably have won using the prodromoi in the last picture, but I used them to chase off some horse archers, then forgot all about them

OK in my effort to BUMP this thread so that others MP players post here, the following are a few pics of EB MP .81x I played.

This is a fight of me (Aedui) VS Gauis (Epiros)

Rules:
$40,000
No more than 4 of the same unit (ex: only 4 Hetaroi)
No Upgrades of any kind!
Can only choose FACTION units


-my center line advancing. Gauis is a VERY defensive player.


-My center RUSHING into position.


-Steady


-Hitting the flanks of the phalanx protected by Thuroporoi(sp)


-Cavarly moving to fight! (damn mine didn't charge)


-Cavarly fight.


-later in the battle his F****ing slingers killed my GENERAL!!!!!!! (on a personal note, I F***ing hate slingers)

I still won the battle by a NARROW margin.
