    Default sieges

Hi, I'm playing a campaign now on a custom campaign map, everything works fine, it's real fun, but...

I have a question: I'm tired of it: when I'm besieged, the enemy always keeps waiting until I attack him. They just wait until I sally out.

That's normal, I know, but I'm best in defending cities in battle, it's my fave aspect in the game... but I practically never have the chance to do so...

So, is it possible to edit something so that the AI automatically tries to take the city by building siege weapons immediately?

It sucks when I wait too long (I lose men from starvation)

PS/ I know it was like that in real life, the enemy just tried to starve the city, but I'm just asking this for fun of the game.

first of all I'd like to add that I mostly experienced such behaviour on the lower strat-map settings, playing on very hard makes the AI generally a lot more fun ... and not just cause they are a bit tougher, but cause they actually do stuff (like attacking when sieging instead of just standing there ...)

anyway afaik all you can do is change the .. er .. whatsitcalled .. that "economic/agression setting", the thing you set in descr_start (like; religious caesar) and see how factions behave with diff. settings (this "can" have a mayor impact on how the AI plays!!)

or *somehow* script in to have the AI follow up on sieges ..
(and I'm not even sure that might be a posability in this game)
