    Default Maximum number of priests

    Hello,

    I've read in this forum for some time and found lots of useful information. But now I have one question where I cannot find an answer already written somwhere here.

    How exactly ist the maximum for trainable priests calculated?

    One per (small) church / (small) chapell is the easy part. But later in the game I end with some more priests than that.

    My best guess so far is:

    #priests = #churches/chapells
    +1 if your largest religious building is an abbey OR
    +2 if your largest religious building is a cathedral OR
    +3 if your largest religious building is a huge cathedral.

    But that's only a guess based on my observations... and although I tried to pay attention to it I already missed the moment I got the very first bonus priest in my current game.

    Small church/chapel = 1
    Abbey and above = 2

    Given a region limit of I think it was 106, you can have max 212 priests

    wargh, that one is linked from the FAQ but I simply overread the answer to my question. Don´t ask why I didn´t use strg+f.
