We know nothing of the kind., The AIVD phone tap on Fortuyn has been denied since 2002 and nothing of the kind has ever been established. If Fortuyn's phone was tapped at all, it was either done by the regional police force (Regionale Inlichtingendienst) or by the shady real-estate characters who dominated his political movement. Some of those were control freaks. Besides, it seems that Fortuyn was susceptible to blackmail because of his 'sexual escapades with Moroccan boys'. In that case the tap would be in his own interest as well as that of the Dutch state since he was a possible future prime minister.
