Thread: Marching through the desert

    Default Marching through the desert

But not being able to reach my intended destination, does this sound familiar to anyone? I'm talking about a town in the bottomleft corner of the worldmap, and for some reason i can't reach it. I've sent out emmisaries in all directions to see if there is a certain path i need to take, and a full stack of legionairs on their trail just in case they find the right way, the poor bastards must be starving by now. I'm guessing it's the final town i have to capture before the entire southwestern part of the map is colored red, so even though it's probably a worthless craphole in the middle of nowhere, i still want it. Any suggestions?

Terhazza ? That's the Forbidden Town in this game. You're not supposed to be able to reach it in the first place, period.

Go to Syracuse, there you may find some of Archimedes inventions. Use his flying machine to reach the destination.

Really? Didn't have a clue about that, i recall owning that entire region back when i was still playing the beta version, but that was a campaign with Carthage, this is a Roman campaign, maybe it's different, dunno. So i can't capture it, ever?

The Sahara used to be "a province like any other" in previous versions. Not anymore; you're not supposed to be able to control it, ever, although I understand skillful cheating *can* get around this.

But cheaters are bad kids. And bad kids get the fist.

Ah well, never mind then, can't blame a guy for asking though.

    There are no stupid questions...

This should probably be in the FAQ. While judging by all the reform-related questions people don't read it anyway, we could at least link it while giving them disapproving looks...

I was reworking the FAQ and included this question since it seems to come up so often. But, I forgot about the rework. Oops.
