It certainly adds interest and depth to the game - nobody is going to deny that, I think - but I'm not quite sure what it will do gameplay-wise. Some of the descriptions - e.g. the family is fond of vices - is pretty self-explanatory in what traits etc. it may entail, but I'd like some more clarification about the other ones.

For instance, if a family thinks Rome should expand southward into Carthaginian territory, does putting one of their family members at the head of an army rampaging through Arveni lands give them less morale? Or decrease movement points (as they protest against your request)? Or does it make them rebel, even?

Also, if a family's "wishes" have been fulfilled - i.e., the Mediterranean has been conquered, do they acquire new ones or will they be happy from that moment on to do whatever you want? Does the fact that Terhazza cannot be conquered mean that family members wanting to expand into Africa will be forever irritated? Do these morale/command/whatever bonuses (if any) mean a whole load of micromanagement and ferrying generals around to the war front of their choice?

If anyone could clear any of those points up, I would be very grateful!
that would be very complicated AFAIK. The ethnicity traits are there to give you depth and historical background for roleplaying your generals and to give them character. Do with it as you will sort of thing. They may influence vices and virtues but nothing drastic enough to hamstring certain characters into certain roles.

love em. The tonsure and sun diam I have discussed thoroughly with Ran / Anthony. He should be able to help further if need be. If not, you know how to reach me.

I had wanted a longer beard, but it was either a bit unwieldy or a misunderstanding. May have to settle for it for the time being, I'll look into it again later..
Fair enough mate, can only do what you can do. Just offered my opinion, albeit knowingly unaware of the practical limitations of the model.

Exempt if they so wished. Many chose to fight and were still doing so against Caesar in Gaul etc.

Heheh - maybe a June preview preview preview is on the table too...?

Edit: Just noticed a small thing that I think should be changed in the image of all the Olympic and similar games. In the place where you get to choose their frequency, the two options shown are "Quadrennial Races" and "Biannual Races" - IMO, although both are real words and both mean the same thing, it should be "biennial" for consistency.

Er, well Rome: Total War is a realtime strategy game made by the Creative Assembly and Activision, in which you control a faction and try to conquer the world (in a nutshell) - Europa Barbarorum is a player-based mod (modification) which extends the scope of the game, makes it more historically accurate, adds various elements to it (like new units and a new building system) and so on.

    Check out the official website:

    https://www.europabarbarorum.com/

And the official FAQ should answer most questions about the game in general:
