i will choose MIGHTY CARTHAGE,seem it got:
dockyard(egypt have none),

pave road(easterner have none),

secret police network provide them 20% of law bonus to prevent their income lossing by corruption(roman,greeks and barbarian have none),

flexible choice of their temple:
temple of Tanits=increase population growth (is it the farming output from
this temple increase the farming income too?)=yes!i oredi found out....
temple of Milqart=increase tradeable goods(as a replacement for silk road of
easterner)
temple of Baal =extra 20% of law bonus to increase public order and prevent
income lost by corruption for those city far away from
capitol.

For some reason, i never have financial problems when playing the Brutii. Big and wealthy ex-Greek cities..Temple of Mercury in the outlying cities, a couple temples of Mars in the troop generating cities. With the awesome bonus of +3 to experience, when the corruption starts to be a problem, usually, the map is pretty much mopped up by my mighty super-experienced legions. Brutii are cheesy? Yeah, but its always fun to be on the winning side :)

Any faction in Greek lands will make money. But who will make the most?

Law doesnt make money but it does reduce corruption. But only if there is corruption due to distance from capital.

It seems Carthage, with all its law buildings, will be good at managing corruption in a far flung empire.

As for the best? You could be right.

Its certainly not barbarians.

I'll have to agree with YENKO, because if u are playing as the Brutii, and you will probably be conquering the whole of Greece, you'll be making many in no time. (let's not forget the temple of Mercury)

I have not played all of the factions yet but in my opinion the Brutti seems to make the most money and they make it consistantly through out the game. The main reason for this I believe is the very easy access to Greek cities. By quickly taking all of the greek cities (including Rhodes -40% increase in naval trade) you have at your command an econimic machine that allows the Brutti to out spend, out build, and out fight any other faction on the board.
I believe Carthage would be next but they have little money to start with so it takes a little while to get ramped up to the same level as the Brutti.

I got like 100,000 in debt plating the Bruti, despite owning the Greeek penninsula, but that was when I was a noob and I don't think I knew how to build an economy or what Rhodes does for your naval trade at the time .

i have a new idea to get the good building from each different culture faction to increase my income and increase my public order maintaining effecientcy.... (get what others have to cover what i have none)

example:first i will play as scipii(since roman have the best system to maintaining public order,and since Scipii represent my wolve army=wolve logo,blue white color mix,if it is silver color will be great),i will get conquest Sicily and Africa as senate told,take out egyptian,upgrade all cities to huge city,build all the buildings,then i will go to west ,and throw those east part citites to easterners(so they will build their secret police network=20%law and the most important silk road=increase tradeable goods 4 for me)

then i go for barbarian at west,take out romans if i oredi achieve 8 shield of population to people.Finish the conquest to those barbarians,throw Africa to easterners for SPN and SR again....

until i reach the north east,then i will start throwing those my west teritory to easterner and start my conquest to those easterners from north east to south east.....finish,throw my north east to them too( the last part that ain't build SPN and SR)

at this time almost all cities oredi get SPN and SR oredi,then we can start the conquest of the world,...with this method ,it can get most income from all cities and prolonged my conquest(about the method of giving up those cities to those easterner,you can give them up slowly by watching the easterners conquest or just give hem by your diplomats...)(you also can get greeks theather too if you can,by giving up 5 PO=public order to culture penalty to get 15 PO of happiness,it is worth to do so)

for egyptian can get dockyard and SR from easterner,you can get highway from romans if you want to......

now i have found out more about carthage benefits,you can get good traits and retinue like:
punisher=+1 unrest,+2 law (traits,totally +5% public order) ,unknown...
priest of Baal=+1 law (retinue) ,from temple of Baal of coz.
torturer=+3 law (retinue) ,from execution square?or SPN(secret police network)
you can gained at least 20% law bonus(same as 20% of public order too!you can save the money for upkeeping those garrisons,without including the governor influence) from just retinue,that means we can ignore the temple of Baal,just build the temple of milqart to increase the trade income and let the law bonus to cover the corruption.(well use of it's flexibility) Then perhaps you will need to pay more for garrisons to cover the Public order,do it only at your high income port cities.....

these retinue can be gained by those extra family members that dun suited for leading an army,they can be sent to cities at the edge of your empire to reduce the corruptions(i will called it save the water from broken pipe,a well management? of limited resources)To do this,you need to build temple of Baal at your capitol,so it will breed those FM(family members) for you...

It even greater than Scipii(my wolf legion) compare to Scipii lesser garrisons upkeep from the help of monthly games and races,seems it reduce almost all of the corruption from high income cities(mostly port cities)....that means if you get a governor(with high law bonuses of coz) to reduces the Themiskyra(that Amazon city) corruption,then Themiskyra will be very profitable for your empire.....(and British isle at the edge of the map)Now i am really squeeze the oil from the stone!!!!
Finally!300000 troops with 40 cities of Greek cities ain't a dream anymore!!!!Numbers rulez!!




Egyptian can get priest of Horus(+1 management,+1 law) compare to priest of Baal(20% reduce on agent training cost,+1 law),but they can't build dockyard......and without temple of milqart for flexible usage.....
Parthian got temple complex of Zoastra that give 5% more law bonus,but priest of Zoastra give 1 command ,1 management(admin income),and 1 influnce(5%public order),they got SR(Silk Road) to provide increase tradeable goods by 4,except they need paved road build by other civilized faction........




Got "HIGH PRESSURE" pipe(high income city with high corruption) broken?just equip your family members with torturers and priest of Baal,then send them to "fix"(manage the corruption problem) that pipe!

No other Barbarian Factions has an equivalent though...

i have figured out new way for greece faction,seem it got no law bonus to help it to prevent the corruption,but it can get influence factor to help increase the public order by get retinues from odean,lycheum,theather:

they can get:
orator=+1 command ,+2 influence
actor=+1 influence
musician=+1 influence
playwright=+1 influence
poet=+1 influence
satirist=+2 influence
biographer=+1 influence
oracle=+1influence,+1 management,+1 command

and may be more...


this way we can equip the governor to govern those cities got high distance to capitol,that way it also can replace the romans monthly games and races method to maintain city public order.....with lower cost,and if the governor have law bonus on it's traits will be good(can prevent the corruption at the same time.....

i dont know but the faction i got the most money as was the Scipii owned mediteranian and beat the Brutii to greece cuz there super slow lol so i was rolling in atleast 40-50k a turn with my protectorites and such by the end of the game =p


Scipii=best romans.. naval power is almost to strong lol (i can just put a ship in each trade rout of my enemys lol no1 can destroy them scpecially with the ships from there one temple)

EDIT:cant remember the god it was Neptune i think.. that would make sence but idk havent played in a while EB is better (no offece CA lol cuz if it werent 4 u i wouldnt have such an awesome game)

They have the "Justice" line of buildings avaliable to them, to counter-act corruption, as well as a "Trade Caravan" building line which provides extra trade to their cities. Their temple also grants a brilliant law bonus which, as said, can further reduce corruption within the city resulting in an even more bountiful income!

Sadly, since Parthia is such a deprived nation at the start, they never get to take advantage of these premium luxuries which ruins their life chances as a faction - often making their potential riches unnoticed.

but,first Parthia got only 1 temple(temple of Zoastra,and Priest of Zoastra gives only +1 influence,+1 management,+1 command,never gives law bonuses,you can only gain +3 law bonus from Torturer(retinue from Secret Police Network=SPN).Even that Priest of Zoastra can help increase your city public order by 5% and give extra admin income.
I agree with your opinion about their buildings,Parthia can be very wealthy from them.
Temple complex of Zoastra and SPN can give up to 45% law bonus that can cover very far range of empire(cities got distance to capitol)

can further reduce corruption within the city resulting in an even more bountiful income!=can make sure lesser pipe being broken forever....or more "water" supply you can get!

Dont forget that Persia was the biggest empire on earth before Alexander, and RTW focuses after his death and the Rising of Rome in the world, therefore Persia´s potential to become an empire are of course there and their buildings clearly reflect that, you just have to retake Persia´s former glory (Seleucid, Egypt, Armenia, Bactria, Pontus and Asia Minor and you´re done.

The funniest thing is that Persia started as an empire just like that, on the far north mountains of the Tiber and whitin few generations had taken Babylon, Assyria, Pergamum, Jerusalem, Tyre, Damascus and the nile lands...kinda makes you think that what they gained, they eventually came to lost it all , going back to their original homeland...

i found out more after reading anciallary file from another great member,that if barbarian faction can set their capitol at city got just Secret police HQ,will earn supply of "Torturer"(retinue) for their family members,that means barbarian faction can use governor with torturer(+3 law) to prevent the corruptions in their cities.
Or they can just get the eastern factions to build for them,simply give your chosen capitol city to eastern faction,let them build for you.Take it back (attack,buy or bribe)when your spy find out that they(easterners) oredi build the secret police HQ or secret police network for you.

Too bad the torturers ain't available for greeks and romans...
