    Default (Not) Sharing Sight

    Hey guys,

    I just wanted to know if it is possible to disable the shared view for the romans but still have them be allied.

    And the counterpart, is it possible to share view with factions like the britons and the germans?

    The roman factions have shared view because of the superfaction setting in descr_strat, eg:

    faction romans_scipii, bureaucrat napoleon
    superfaction romans_senate
    denari 5000
    settlement
    {
    level large_town

    you could take that out but it also controls the fact that SPQR is not agressive towards them.

    Likewise you could try adding a similar superfaction relationship between other factions which would give you shared line of sight - but it would also alter the way they behaved towards each other.

    I'm not sure if there are any limitations on how many factions you can use it on, or if they have to be same culture either...

    I dont suggest adding any other factions to the superfaction thingy ...

    not that it makes much of an impact, but its ugly, very ugly
    you start out with the other faction showing up as the others, they will stay so even when hostille later on (nothing diff. than with the others, but shouldnt be forgotten) you can not declare war on them (you can not attack them) but they will declare war on you by attacking you whenever your settlements are in the way (just like any other non-superfaction-faction) and will than give the message about the Jullii becoming outlawed (wich again can be rather confusing if they wouldnt have attacked you as you might actually think the Jullii gone mad ...:P)

    so yeah, it does work, but no I wouldnt suggest using it ...
