Then again at least with the Dervish effort being so rubbish (even by eurovision standards) it means the bookmakers are paying out well33/1 woohoo

Hmmph. France should have won. They or Hungary. But Serbia wasn't that bad, so it is an acceptable winner.
We have this almost mythical tree, given to us by the otherwise hostile people in the east to symbolize our friendship and give us permission to send caravans through their lands. It could be said to symbolize the wealth and power of our great nation. Cut it down and make me a throne.

Serbia was the only country that I saw, so I can't really compare with other countries, Eurovision is not my sort of thing, and neither is music in general. I do agree, however, that he/she wasn't especially good. It was a combination of a poor song and the way it was sung it in my opinion.

Dawn is nature's way of telling you to go back to bed
The right song won. Serbia was by miles the best entry this year.
Sure, there is plenty of political voting but that makes it all fun. Common, hand on heart, who really wants to actually win the Eurovision?
I should have gone to the bookies. I had the first three all right.
Many entries were rubbish (dare I say, all) but at least some had real entertainment value.

Did Greece not vote for Turkey again?![]()

I'll bet they voted for Cyprus though.![]()
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

Cyprus gave 12 points to Greece, and 0 to Turkey.

I'm sorry, but that song has no melody whatsoever.
Bloody monastery? Here's another thing that demonstrates that the song is rubbish. The singer should have been to rehab before this. I really disliked her attitude, fist up and that pitbull face. Disgusting once again.bloody monastery![]()
