Of course they are already free, once they have seen our forces, they know the liberation has come. They live in fear because of your brutal oppression.Originally Posted by Motep

Really? Our forces are nearly equal, and you suffered many casualties, but you called this as "my lost"...hmm...I wonder what "my victory" meant thenOriginally Posted by Motep

Well, I'm mostly done, just a few more things to finish up and we'll be good to go. (And a couple people who need to reply with PMs. Detail where you want new cities, people!)

Rise of Civilizations
Chapter IV: War Spreads
War and its accompanying destruction has now spread to more parts of the world. In the north, the Venetian army continues its campaign against the Gauls. The Gauls live yet, though, and prepare for war.
In central Italy, all the nations are at war. Epeiros has attacked the Umbrian city of Spello. The Epeiran army, greatly bloodied after assaulting Capua, decides to head for the city of Spello. Spello's leader, wary of being so near Epeiros, had anticipated this and raised an army, so that the city was well defended when the army from Epeiros approached. The two armies clashed and fought bitterly, but in the end the Umbrians were rousted from their city.
As the Umbrian defenders fled north, they could see the city of Spello being sacked.
In the west, the forces of Sardinia again assault the city of Caleim, and are again repulsed. A tiny force of Sardinia approached the capital of Kendermoore in the north, shouting slogans and vowing to free the people of Kender. They were cut down and annihilated by Kendish defenders before they had a chance to run away.
The process of city building and the raising of armies continues throughout the world. On the island of Sicily, the king of Syracuse directed men to found a new city. However, noone knew where to build it, so the pioneers wandered around the island, many being devoured by the carnivorous rabbits of the area, and no city was built.

Turn Five has begun. Your Orders are due by Friday.
IMPORTANT: Sieges to siege a city, you must specify so in a PM when an army reaches a city. You will not assault the city, but instead you will lay siege. The benefit is that if your army assaults the city next turn and is repulsed, the defenders will still be under siege and can't hire more troops. The drawback is you can't attack immediately, and so nearby armies can attack you. Cities can resist a siege for (their city level + 1) turns (so, lvl four holds out for 5 turns), before starvation hits and defenders must either attack or begin to quickly die out.

Don't you know where Rhegion(Rhegium) is? I thought that was obvious.

Well, I probably should have stated that, but I had the idea that a lot of people here played EB, and Rhegion is in there. Sorry, my mistake.

Hmm, it would seem that most of the world is starkly uncivilized to resort to such methods. Carthage and Illyria must be the only ones to be concerned for their citizens. Tsk, tsk.
It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then, the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.
The Roman people resent that remark. They only wish to defend their lands, and more importantly their people.

Syracuse, your betrayal of the terms of our agreement is somewhat disturbing but provided you advance no further, I will take no action.
