When i try and patch with the new update the updater crashes!! its super annoying....it runs for about 2 seconds and then says "Unknown error"....really informative. I have reinstalled and everything...

You may need to do a reinstall of the game (deleting the SEGA folder in between doing so).
Don't apply 1.1; patch straight to 1.2
