Problems with the Ventian campeign

Hi everybody - after the patch I recently started a Venetian campeign...
Or at least I treid to start. Whatever I do - I'm unable to get into the 3rd round. The game needs an eternity to calculate the French turn bewteen the 2nd and 3rd round - no problem with that between the 1st and 2nd though. And I don't mean 5 minutes - I've waited half an hour and nothin changed...
I also can't occupy towns - I tried to invade Zagreb - but after I auto-calculated to the battle my army stands in front of the empty city and nothing happens - though I still can move the time-symbol my pointer has turned into to - nothing happens...
Can anyone help me?
