Question Collision Mass and Soldier Spacing

Can someone tell me what's the relation between "collision mass" and the "soldier spacing" numbers?

It seems to me that "collision mass" should be automatically calculated based on the "soldier spacing" X/Y pairs.

    Thanks for your help.

To my knowledge there is no connection between the two.
The only connection you could probably be interested in is that spacing must be at least 2*unit_radius, otherwise soldiers will start moving (unit will expand a bit), until they are not in contact with the others.
