    What problem?

It wasn't a problem for me, I wiped the floor with them. This battlefield was rare enough for me to consider it a novelty, I've not had any problems with impassible terrain where it doesn't make sense. I mean in the example shown I would have been really 'pissed off' if the English Army had suddenly learn't to walk on water and retreated out to sea, or suddenly produced a Sherpa guide and trekked off over the mountain when I had the only pass blocked.

The worst remaining post 1.02 issues I've noticed are the continuing problems with deployment of troops in settlements. For example I've discovered that the only way to deploy infantry in some locations is to place them sideways and then remember to go back and change their facing once the battle starts. Cavalry in settlements are even harder to place and manouvre, they seem unwilling to go where you want them too and if you try and make them they just dwaudle along dragging their hooves despite the fact that you ordered them to hurry.

I had a pretty amazing battle against the French in a pass in the Pyrenees. It was beautiful, but I elected to fight at night . I won because the stupid AI didn’t know how to fight, it kept running up and down the 60 degree slope and left itself vulnerable to my Jinettes. After I pruned off most of their missile troops and loosed my javelins, they beat a quick retreat right in front of my army. I still think I should have gotten a heroic victory out of the deal.

Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.
