REPLAY Test

Hi Everyone !

So I finally backed up my mod folder and installed the patch !!!
Now I have made this quick replay just to test if replays have improved.
So here's what I would like you all to do:

1. Download the replay (<-Link)
2. Save it to your /M2:TW/replays folder.
3. Launch game -> Single Player -> Load Replay (or was it Load Game ?) -> Play
4. Take a screenshot of OR write down the Battle Statistics.
5. Take a screenshot of OR write down the Battle Results.
6. POST !

It's V1.20, it's hardly 5 miutes long. I was just fooling around and this is NOT a serious All Cavalry Replay. Anyway, JHI plus Kapikulu => DEATH. I want to test this and if it works we can finally share replays and get some popcorn !!!

PLEASE can someone test this.

I'll see what I can do about helping you out a bit later. (The free Sendspace was at full capacity.)

Just wanted to take a moment right now, though, to mention that I messed with replays recently, and they DO actually seem to work now!

I didn't do what I'd call exhaustive testing, but they worked as far as I could tell (and I was watching for things like specific sync kills at specific times.)

Yep! I hope it does work. The lack of replays really disappointed me when I first got the game.

I like to play my battles in General Camera view, and then watch them later with a free camera.

I'll try to download your file again later. (Darned Sendspace!)

Here you go.

I played the replay twice. The first time I let it play normally, then I exited the game completely, restarted, and played it a second time at 6x speed, all the way through.

The results were exactly the same both times.

Here are the results:

Played it, and the results also precisely match both your screenshots (can't be bothered to upload them though, you'll have to trust me. And who in his right mind would trust a Frenchman ? ). That problem is definitely solved.

I've done this one as a test, I have'nt played seriously but I won anyway (for what it's worth). It's quite a funny replay.
What's the best way to absorb a charge ? Why missile infantry ofc !

So far it has worked perfectly for ALL 4 people who tried it.
Now we need the 20vs20 tested.

Cool... Labareda thanks. NOTE I think that link is only valid for a week or so. I've hosted it on a free upload site and they delete the files after 7 days or 14, I'm not sure. Anyway best to D/L and keep it. If the link fails, post and I'll re-upload it.

I tried these at a games cafe. The 1st one worked 100%, 2nd one did not work well. Deployment etc was good but after that, completely new battle.

It seems that there is a threshold of about 12 units vs 20 units. If the replay contains more units than 32 it starts to malfunction.

We can only know if we test further, I will post some replays. Meanwhile it can only help the more people test it.

OK ! THANKS Xehh II. That one did not work. I will post my shots from the end of the original replay, soon. It was clear victory with 50% less casualties than on yours.

So, the replays are still not fully functional.
