First I must say that mostly EB0.81a is magnificient and I am continually amazed and delighted playing it. I mean that but. Three things drive me mad. It mostly applies to cavalry but can happen with groups of other units. They charge in completely the wrong direction and get anihilated by charging into massed pikes that you told them to run AWAY from. The problem seems to be that they try to execute a fancy curving turn which starts at 90 degrees to the way you want them to go. This would be fine on a parade ground but in the middle of a battle it is idiotic behaviour. I cannot believe this is realistic. No professional soldier would have this disregard for his own safety. The second problem is 'sticky' places on the battlefield. Units get stuck and refuse to move. They often appear to be fighting invisible enemies. When this happens the whole unit can slowly die before your eyes (or be cut down by enemy troops which are mobie.) and there is nothing you can do about it. This always seems to be near a pile of dead bodies. Lastly sometimes when I have carefully grouped and positioned my units I tell them all to move and they re-arrange themselves on the way! The result is I am franticaly re-organising in front of my enemy.
