Hello all......
As we all know the Inquisitors before 1.2 were the bane of everyone. They killed at will pretty much. And much like the Geshia in STW, very hard to kill themselves. 9 times out of 10 an Assassin had no chance. And I tried to do the Inquisitor "stomp", but it just dosent seem to work for me, they always manage to squirm away somehow.
Hell....I had to put a campaign on hold once because Inquisitors were whacking a spy or two evey turn. Now, if a trained town watch, not to mention ememy spys, couldn't "see" my lvl 9 spy....how on God's green Earth is an un-trained "Holy"man?
Having recently patched the game to 1.02 I have not had the....good fortune.....of having an Inquisitor in my lands yet. So here is an observation and a question.
Observation:
I have noticed that many of my Generals, and not just my family members, have very high piety. Now I know this was patched in because before the patch you were lucky to have a General with one piety, much less 3 or more.
Now, I get 3 to 6 piety Generals all the time, in multiple ongoing games.
Now I dont know if they did this as a balance, a quick fix, to protect the Generals from Inquisitors, or what. But I have to say that it is an improvement. The great majority of people at the time were in fact, quite pious. Including the Royalty for the most part...at least in public. So bravo CA!
Question(s):
In 1.0 did you ever have Inquisitors target, not Family Members and Generals, but your spys, assassins and diplomats?
And have you noticed either a drop in sudden deaths by Inquisition or a greater chance to escape being branded a heritc?
Any other changes you have noticed fron Inquisitors?
