Nevermind I can't take the Chancellorship right now too busy. Maybe in a couple of weeks. I've got exams and then my family's going on vacation.

    El Diablo stands:
"You all stand there talking of a great England and yet look at us. We have few provinces and an even poorer army. We are ENGLISH and therefore we CAN be mighty but to do so we must be smarter than those barbarian Scots to the north and the trecherous Welsh to the West. We do not have the resources to fight on two fronts and therefore we must secure one. I say play for time with the French. Let them build up there towns and provinces. All the less work for Englishmen to do when we take if from them. The French will pay for there past crimes against the crown but let them wait. I do not condone an alliance with these sub-human monsters as they will undoubted betray us. I say we should remain able to destroy them when we want and on our terms.

I say crush the Scots, Welsh and Irish. Teach them how great it is to bask in the glow of being English and serving our king. Then once our true homelands are returned to us we can concentrate on extracting revenge on the French.

But to leave our lands on Caen blind is absolute folly. Watch towers and even spies are required so that any movements by the French can be monitered till it is time for them to meet to be crushed.

    Second Elector of York stands

I agree with the previous statements. We must first unite the isle, but we cannot just hand over Caen to the French. I have seen the defences at Caen and with the proper garrison they can withstand any French attack. We must keep Caen if we do it would make invading the rich Frenchman's lands less of a hassle, since we will have a base to organize our forces when they arrive on the mainland.

    Nara rises.

My fellow electors, I see we have an agreeance amongst us. We must unite the Isles, while preserving Caen for an attack into French lands. Don't let my earlier words about Caen mislead you. Though it would be a sad day, we must be willing to accept that as we unite the Isles, we could end up losing Caen as we put more money to the Isle.

Now my fellow's I suggest we leave Caen with a good enough garrison so as to beat off the French. The force shouldn't be all too big, or we will never be able to launch successful attacks into Wales or Scotland or Ireland. But it shouldn't be so samll that a group peasants could have half a chance to take it.

I still say we should give donations to the Pope, so as to be on better grounds with him, and to ally ourselves with the Holy Roman Emperor. We, could then use the emperor as a means to keep the French busy, and let us take the Isle, and areas arround Caen with just a bit less of rush.
