Barren battlefields

I've been playing MTW2 for a while now and came back to Rome: Total War. Playing as the greek cities and everything's fine. However, once I engaged in combat for the first time, I notice everything looks like a desert. Just sand colored everywhere, no trees, no lush no nothing. "Ok fine" I think, "probably just the region" (This was in greece fighting Brutii).

Next battle, same thing. No vegitation, only sand everywhere. And this was on Sicily. I go "wtf?" but still, probably the region this as well.

I keep fighting battles, same thing everywhere, from Sicily to Asia minor. Is this a bug or just me?

Definetly a bug. Have a look in the apothecary if someone experienced something similar. At a guess, I'd say it's a problem with the drivers of your video card.
