I need help with 1.2

Always when i try to install patch 1.2 i get following error.

I have uninstalled whole game couple of times and downloaded uptade many times.
But it wont help.

Uptade always seems to be looking game files from C:/windows but i have game in D section.

I tried to create folder C:/windows/data/sounds/events.dat but then installer gave me same error again. But it was saying about next file this time.
I have Windows xp.

Any ideas what to do?

Follow these instructions carefully (so you don't stuff up the registery), and you should be able to get around this.

Click start, then run, and type 'regedit'
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\SEGA\Medieval 2: Total War
Either edit or add the string 'AppPath' so that it points to the correct folder (eg. C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval 2: Total War)

The game update does'nt know where the game is installed. Weird.

The updater reads that from the registery; hence my posted method for updating that.

Thanks sapi, I try that today, when I come from school. :)

And yeah, those quotes are from Wheel of time.

EDIT: I did registery change, and i shows now that path is right there, but when I install it gives same error and in registery it has changed it back to C:\windows...
What should I do?
