Replacing vanilla's opening movies?

This question is specific to the modders of RTW 1.5 (and Alexander):

How do you replace the 2 opening movies for your mod, if you're using the mod folder? I can't seem to get mine to work if I use the mod_0.pak. The exe seems to ignore the mod_0.pak in this regard and only reads the movies from the Data folder. If I replaced the movies in Data, they worked fine.

So any modder found any solution that does not involve replacing the original movies in Data?

P.S. I also know that it's possible to use descr_fmv.txt but the activating line seems to be "no_skip" so the movies are non-skippable, which sucks. I have tried using other lines but no luck so far.

I got stuck with this one too hence EoD is "completely in its own mod-folder" (except the damn intro video)

would be nice if anyone else could help!

I could not work out how to have the intro vid or packed music work from within a modfolder either. I have not looked into FMV txt in Alex. TW.
