Thread: Why do we use 2 forums?

    ...or should that be "fora"?

Anyway, why have we got two of them - and both, it would seem, part of a fansite not owned by the EB team? It just makes it confusing, not knowing which one is the official one and having to look in two places.

Were there any plans to just use one of these forums, or for the EB team to create their own forums dedicated to EB?

    Cheers! :)

This is more relevant to EB, no? So, I think it should be there.

Anyway, to answer your question, I guess it's to make it easier on the community. Since there were already many people here, the EB team would choose to come here, and not install themselves on an unknown site. You might bring up the example of RTR, but they do have a forum at TWCenter.
For example, if you want to start a successful business, you'd install yourself in a town, not in the middle of nowhere.

Publicity, mostly. Although many members of the Org have a TWC account and vica versa, the greater part of the community is only active on one of the two forums. To reach the greatest amount of people, a mod should have a forum on both board.

OK, fair enough, but I wouldn't be missing anything by just using one forum, right?

No, you usually wouldn't. However, most Mods favour one of the boards over another and it just happens that in EBs case, we get far more activity from the modding team here.

The Org is where EB's official forums are based, as it's where development of the mod takes place and where the mod was founded over 3 years ago. As a result, all EB Members have an account over here, whereas only some have one over at TWC. So it's highly unlikely you'll miss anything if follow the official EB forums at the Org.
