Why doesn't the M2TW demo work?

This might not be the right sub-section, but I found no support section or anything (am I just tired?), so I might try here...

I'm recently got a new fresh computer, so now I should be able to run M2TW without problems. The old one could barely bear it. I've just the demo, cause I thought it is better to wait to buy the full version until I got this new one.

In any case, the problem is that the M2TW demo plainly refuses to start. This computer has Windows Vista, and when I try to run the demo as an administrator, it loads, then Vista asks for confirmation that I really started the program (Windows Vista does that, as a security measure), I confirm, and instead of getting me into the game, it plainly stops loading. What should I do?

Please note that RTW with the EB mod works like a dream. I've had no problems with it. So logically the M2TW demo should have no problems. Logically, I don't want to buy the full one until I'm sure that it will work.

Try running it in the compatibility mode.

I have Vista and the full version works fine on the limited account without the need for a password. You might be experiencing a bug thats actually fixed in the full version.

For some reason it refuses to accept my compability mode request :S (i.e right-click, and choosing a compability mode). It simply doesn't preserve my settings.

It might perhaps be that the full version has this fixed, but of course that's hard to know. Has there been any reports on compability problems with Vista for the full version?
