A 250GB external HD. My 75 GB internal HD couldn't hold nearly enough. Within a week I had another hundred GB in the external.

Before that, replaced 2x512 RAM with 2x1024. Very nice.

Next, if all goes according to plan (as if), a 640MB 8800GTS card. If I can work out a trade for it, I'll put down for a PCI-E MB and new CPU. That will be very, very nice.

I had to get a new 160GB harddrive since my previous one broke completely. Took a hell of a long time to find all of the drivers after installing mainly because I coudn't go online without the drivers.

A modest 7600GS to replace my 9600XT. It has made a hell of a difference to M2TW (runs large unit size, medium to high settings), and was a bargain for about £60.

    Thumbs up January 2007

In January, I bought my 2nd hard disk (WD 2500KS) and made software RAID 0 (stripped partition) in Win XP with old WD 1200JS. Also bought 2nd optical drive Pioneer DVR-111D, as my old NEC 3500AG have great problems with reading damaged optical disks, and with writing cd-rw and dvd+/-rw. And I bought new graphics card MSI GeForce 7600GS to replace old Club 3D Radeon 9800LE.

Also friend in service o/c processor and especially memory, and together with RAID 0, system work on edge. Too bad, my example of MSI GeForce 7600GS doesn't want to o/c . Friend has the same, and he o/c pretty much, but my crappy doesn't want to o/c for even 1 MHz.
