This is indeed good news If the FO do appeal against it I think that would be the final nail in the coffin of "ethical foreign policy". The cynic in me wants to say they probably only got anywhere because the islands are about to drop below sea level rises, but I'm trying to resist..... The Chagossians have been very shabbily treated, and I just hope there's enough "old-timers" left to rebuild their culture.
