no, its the rich who influence the poor and make them think they're fighting for some universal cause. Come on now, you know this. Look at the Bush admin. They use some fancy words like "liberty" and "freedom" and presto we're all in favor of going over to kill people. when in actuality the only people benefitting from the war are the shareholders in halliburton, bechtel, KBR, CACI, Titan, Blackwater, etc.

Some of his work is really good - as I said he is always a good read, but you have to take him with a grain of salt. His books are normally better then his speeches.
But you are correct - in the speech he has lost som of his historic objectivity, but that does not necessarily distract me. FIlter out the rethoric.
