Need Help, computer driving me nuts.

This problem is not related to EB(EB runs great on my computer) but I am an EB fan and play the game almost every day. I am desperate and need help and every where else I have tried to get help, I can't get an answer to the problem. This problem happens when I play Day of Defeat: Source(happened once) and when I play MVP Baseball 2005(happens every time I play). It happens approximately 20 to 40 minutes into the game where my PC will suddenly go into Standby Mode or Hibernation Mode. I have both those settings disabled in the Control Panel under Power Options and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it still happens. What is more upsetting is I can't get the PC to come out of this mode once it goes in and I have to Reboot my computer. I am hoping if anyone has had this problem before they could post some suggestions to help me out. This only started about a month ago and before that time I ran these games with no problems. I also updated my driver for my graphics card(Nvidia FX 5200) and it still happens. It might just be a setting that I changed when I shouldn't have, but I haven't been able to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated?

I had something similar happen with a faulty XFX Geforce card, running anything using DirectX9.0c would make it crash after 3-30 minutes, and anything using DirectX9 at all if not using a year-old driver. If you can borrow a friend's graphics card you could see if that's the problem. Otherwise, your computer might be running hot, you could try to remove the exterior case to improve ventilation and see if it makes any difference.

Took off the case and cleaned off the dust and played a game and no problems. Looks like this problem is solved. Thanks a lot, Bovi.
