They're definitely squeezing some nice graphics out of the little PSP aren't they?

Impressive.
Someone I know keeps pestering me to play God of War. He says I'll like it. He says it's the action game for people who don't like action games, packed full of Greek mythology which I'll love. He insists that I won't find it infuriatingly hard because I managed to get up to the 4th level of Ninja Gaiden and only dying twice, while he could never get past the first boss. There's more to it than repetitive kill-kill-kill-platform bit-kill gameplay, and it requires skill to play. It has a powerful plot. It's stunningly beautiful. And so on and so forth, over and over.
I don't know. While very rarely I’ll play games like Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden they aren’t my usual cup of tea, and I don’t tend to get very far in them because I find I lack the desire to go back and play some more. Anyone got a hype-free verdict?
Frogbeastegg's Guide to Total War: Shogun II. Please note that the guide is not up-to-date for the latest patch.
God of War looks like one of those games that are just... simple. I read about it and saw a review for soime console version (which was months ago), and I quickly speculated it's not such a good game as it's claimed to be. But it's all guesswork.

Good game kinda repetive on the puzzles which drove me insane. The plot was buitiful and graphics insane. So mix Prine of Persia with... Ummmm i can't think of another game but if you liked PoP then you'll like GoW

God of War is one of those games where it's AWESOME for the first few hours, then mediocre once you realize it's not that deep of a game. It feels great being able to ram the head of a giant hydra into the broken mast of a ship, but moments like those are few and in between.Originally Posted by frogbeastegg
It's my second favorite game on the ps2, it's just brilliant. There isn't that much to it, it's an action game and you kill stuff, but it feels great and looks even better. What makes it particulary impressive is the awesome music, very violent, very heavy, and a surprisingly good story. Well it's not that great really, but it is all presented in ultrastylish cutscenes with a hollywood quality voiceover that really sucks you in.Originally Posted by Bijo
