    i downloaded 1.1 patch and all these files are all over my desktop!
    what went wrong?

    You probably installed it to he wrong path. I forgot how the Patch Installer works so just try again. This is just to try something until someone else with all the answers can help out.

    1. Use the 1.2 patch, not 1.1
    2. Install to your M2TW directory (usually C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II - Total War)
